Synthetic concrete
420 x 420 x 420 cm
The colloquial title expression stands for good luck in the third attempt. It is an old proverb, associated with the Christian “Holy Trinity”, that asserts number three as fortune, implying the blessing of the three entities. On the other hand, renowned roman thinker Vitruvius stated three universal principles for perfect architecture: durability, utility and beauty. The roman column has been the iconic example of these qualities, which in this sculpture is displaced to occupy the triple axis of space representation (X, Y, Z), while resembling the complex shape either from Jacks game or a WW2 anti-tank obstacle.
