The Suit Makes the Man is a wall sculpture that contrasts the weight and rigidity of the material used (reinforced concrete) with the supposed lightness of a tailor-made suit. It also echoes in categories such as gender, work and social class. This outfit, as a symbol of ego and power, represents the figure of the architect or engineer, in charge of deciding the "best" way to impact on our environment. Using humor and criticism, Almanza Pereda visualizes these internal logics, while pointing out the rigidity and simultaneous fragility of the social dynamics.
